The Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, HRM Oba (Dr.) Adewale Kabir Shotobi, Adegorushen V, has been described as the father of modern Ikorodu.
Rep. Benson said in a statement commemorating the birthday anniversary of the monarch, adding that hid reign has been purposeful.
Oba Shotobi, who is the Permanent Vice Chairman, Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs and Chairman, Ijebu Obas in Lagos State celebrates his birthday every February 5th.

The three – term federal lawmaker and Chairman, House Committee on Defence, also acknowledged that the royal father has been uniting his people and bringing about cultural and infrastructural development.
